ART COLLECTION FIREBIRD
This collection was born in Paris. Even on the way there, my thoughts kept returning to the magical ballet of Diaghilev and the splendor of the “Russian Seasons” in France. Somewhere deep inside, there lived a memory of the Firebird — she had appeared to me in a dream just a few weeks before my flight. All these images wove themselves into a fairytale, into a vision of extraordinary beauty — the elusive soul of the future collection. Hours spent exploring the endless archives of the Pompidou Library — and suddenly, a stroke of luck! A book on the costumes of a small mountain village. And there it was — in the traditional dress of Nakhichevan, a legacy of the Persian kingdom — the very image of the Firebird appeared before me. And then everything became clear: I had to take this motif, breathe new life into it, and bring it into the present. I combined the silhouette of the great designer Azzedine Alaïa with the magical costume of Nakhichevan — and just like that, the collection came to life.
