ART COLLECTION FIREBIRD

This collection was born in Paris. Even on the way there, my thoughts kept returning to the magical ballet of Diaghilev and the splendor of the “Russian Seasons” in France. Somewhere deep inside, there lived a memory of the Firebird — she had appeared to me in a dream just a few weeks before my flight. All these images wove themselves into a fairytale, into a vision of extraordinary beauty — the elusive soul of the future collection. Hours spent exploring the endless archives of the Pompidou Library — and suddenly, a stroke of luck! A book on the costumes of a small mountain village. And there it was — in the traditional dress of Nakhichevan, a legacy of the Persian kingdom — the very image of the Firebird appeared before me. And then everything became clear: I had to take this motif, breathe new life into it, and bring it into the present. I combined the silhouette of the great designer Azzedine Alaïa with the magical costume of Nakhichevan — and just like that, the collection came to life.

Persian Roots. Archival Discoveries

Pompidou Library, Paris

In the quiet halls of the Pompidou Library, I discovered forgotten pages of history. Among the archival photographs, I found traditional Persian and Nakhichevan garments: layers of delicate fabric, intricate patterns, noble silhouettes. These images became the foundation of my visual language.

Inspired by Bakst. Theater and the East

The art of Léon Bakst and his costume designs for Diaghilev’s ballets inspired me to unite the East and theatricality. Color, drapery, posture — everything in his work breathes with expression and mystery. I saw his work as a bridge between the archive and modern artistic vision.

Sketches. The Birth of Forms

I spent days drawing — pencil and color — translating the spirit of the East through my own perception. It was a process of reflection, trial, and instinct. Here you see the first lines, intuitive shapes that would later become silhouettes and embroideries.

Materials. Bringing Sketches to Life

From paper to fabric. I began building the palette, searching for textures, embroideries, and shades that speak to today but preserve ancient depth. This is a visual story of how sketches became matter.

The Firebird Collection as a Gesture

Thus was born the Firebird Collection — not just clothing, but a ritual assembled from dreams, archives, and personal search. Each look tells a story; each detail is a trace of time transformed into movement, form, and light.
